Fanhan's High-Level Inventory Counting Solution Using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Fanhan has focused on intelligent warehousing solutions for many years. Leveraging its independent R&D and system integration capabilities for warehouse drones, it has launched the "Kite" series of ground-to-air robots, enabling high-level inventory counting. Operating through a vehicle-robot collaboration model, it integrates radar and visual recognition technology from warehouse robots to achieve fully automated and intelligent inventory counting.

The unmanned vehicle provides continuous power to the robots and allows for precise take-off and landing. Simultaneously, it shares location data, ensuring the stability and safety of the drones flying between high-level storage locations at any time. This overcomes the inefficiencies and safety risks of traditional inventory counting methods.

The automated system supports task assignment to the warehouse drones, enabling them to complete the tasks. The product information collected by the drones is matched with the WMS system data through AI recognition and generates inventory reports, facilitating digital warehouse management and improving the intelligence level of warehouse management and operations.

The collaboration between unmanned vehicles and drones upgrades traditional manual inventory counting to efficient, accurate, and safe automated machine intelligence inspection.

Unmanned operation, fully automated work: warehouse drones autonomously perform inventory counting tasks;

Ground-air collaboration enables comprehensive inventory counting from the bottom to the top;

Centimeter-level positioning ensures accurate data matching between each shelf and the WMS system;

Long battery life allows for efficient continuous operation, covering over 5000 square meters in a single inventory count.

The "Kite" system integrates the horizontal mobility and vertical reconnaissance capabilities of warehouse drones. Unmanned vehicles can patrol between racks, and upon reaching a target rack, the drone automatically takes off, scans, identifies, accurately counts, and records data. This three-dimensional operation ensures that every rack level can be efficiently counted and entered into inventory, solving the pain point of manual inventory counting of upper racks.

2.The warehouse drones offer precise positioning and reliable inventory data
Equipped with high-precision radar, the warehouse drones provide centimeter-level accurate positioning data for the unmanned vehicle system. Even when navigating dense racking, the drones maintain highly accurate positioning and synchronize data. This ensures that the inventory information for each data point corresponds to the virtual location in the WMS system, far exceeding the accuracy of manual data.

3.The warehouse drones support AI vision processing
Equipped with high-definition cameras, the warehouse drones can quickly scan product labels. The platform's AI algorithms identify and analyze the labels, automatically comparing them with the database in the WMS system. The system automatically generates inventory count results, and if discrepancies are found during comparison, it can also generate discrepancy data in real time and upload it to the data management system, greatly improving the timeliness of inventory information and facilitating decision-making and management.

FAQ
Q:How do the "Kite" system's unmanned vehicles achieve stability and obstacle avoidance in densely packed warehouses?
Our warehouse drones are equipped with multiple sensors, and high-end radar supports centimeter-level accuracy in obstacle avoidance and navigation. The vehicles also feature multi-directional ultrasonic and collision avoidance sensors. If an obstacle is encountered, the drone will slow down and replan its route, ensuring the stability of inventory operations.
Q:Will the airflow generated by the drone's rotors affect lightweight goods during inventory operations?
First, our warehouse drones have excellent downdraft control. Second, the system sets an appropriate hovering distance during drone operation planning. For lightweight goods, the hovering distance is set larger to reduce the impact of airflow.
Q:What emergency mechanisms does the system have if the drone or unmanned vehicle malfunctions during a mission?
The warehouse drone system is designed with an emergency response mechanism. The drone platform monitors the equipment status in real time. Once a fault is detected, the mission is paused, and a signal is sent. Upon receiving the signal, on-duty personnel can access the real-time footage for diagnosis. We provide remote technical support and, if necessary, on-site guidance.
