Yes, it is secure. Our drones are equipped with standard base station equipment to provide the signal. All communications are protected by an encryption system to ensure the security of public communications.
Q:How many users can simultaneously make calls and access the internet using the temporary signal provided by the drone?
The capacity depends on the base station configuration. Under standard configurations, one emergency drone can provide stable network service for several hundred users.
Q:How is the base station data from the drone transmitted back to the internet core network?
There are two main backhaul solutions. One is satellite backhaul: the drone is equipped with a satellite terminal, and the base station data is transmitted to a ground station via a satellite link, and then connected to the core network. The other is microwave relay: within line of sight, the data can be relayed to the nearest ground transmission node via a microwave link.
